Yesterday’s drunk pics.
Yesterday was a… how do I put it.. post punk family outing to a friends punk gig with Jess, Takeyasu and Hama.
As always, it was lovely ♥♥♥
Q:What's your instagram? <3
It’s nooin04 ^ω^
Q:Hi Nooin! how do you take care of your skin so that it looks so clean and smooth? You always look friggin fabulous, keep up the good work! Always anticipating your newest looks! Fight-oh!
First of all, thank youuuuuuu!!!!!!! I get jazz hands and squeal at how kind everyone is on here…♥
Ok so.. I get asked this a lot ( I apologize for all the unanswered ones in inbox..so here you go) I’ll answer this here now and I’ll add it to FAQ which I’ll do.. maybe later today? I’ll try!
Well.. my skin is actually an asshat. Seriously… It’s stupidly sensitive and if I screw up in any way it instantly breaks out. Besides that I have trouble keeping my hands off my face and often have attacks where I pick at it till I look like the moon. Fortunately my skin still heals fairly well. I can’t stress the importance of this enough don’t ever pick at a spot no matter how tempting!!! It’s never worth it! Hands! Off! Face! I still struggle with this nearly every day since it’s an anxiety reaction but yeah, fight it.
I also have to watch what I eat.. sugar and saturated fats are a no. I have to drink a lot of water, can’t have too much dairy either. I have to watch my stress levels as well. Then it’s pillow cases and towels, I recommend washing them once every 2 weeks unless you sleep with hair products sometimes then they’ll get dirtier so wash once a week. Also keep dirty hair away from face.. either wash it or for those who have dry scalp and can’t wash it that often just pin it out of the way or something.
As for routine, I wash and moisturise twice a day (morning and before bed). I use one of those thingis with fine grains in it for a light exfoliation ( I do an actual exfoliation in the shower maximum twice a week with a scrub and a hard wash cloth. Just don’t be too violent cause it will do more damage instead, always be gentle with your skin).
After that with a cotton pad I use a cleanser, then apply water like lotion and then milk type emulsion. It’s one of those 2 step things from the same brand. Mine are oil free for mixed skin and they do have some sort of whitening agent. I also use rose lotion on my neck area. I tend to also with flat palms on each corner of the face, pull back and tighten hold for 20 seconds cause I don’t want to sag too quickly while ageing..^^; no idea if it helps but it’s not that time consuming.
I also use face masks/packs once or twice a week depending how dry my skin feels or if I have some important event/job to attend.
That’s pretty much it. Also, when it comes to makeup which is something I use a lot of, I only use mineral BB cream type foundation. Anything else makes me break out and looks cakey or oily on my skin after a few hours anyway. Always take it off as soon as I get home then moisturise again.
Everyone is different so I can’t really say it’s totally fail proof, but this is how it works for me ^^ sounds like a lot of effort but it’s not actually that bad when you get used to it.
Oh also! If you do get a spot, put a bit of tea tree oil on it then cover with a plaster while indoors (or outdoors if you’re not too embarrassed.. i sometimes walk around with plaster face!) and the spot will shrink, eventually disappear after a couple of days.
Hope this helps!
Q:Nooin-san! following you on both instagram and tumblr makes me realize you are a really nice person! Not that I thought you weren't and nothing about you gives off the idea that you would be mean but usually, popular 'fashion' figures on tumblr and instagram are really rude and won't take the time to answer any question properly and politely, as innocent as it might be. Well.. thank you for always staying so 'human', I guess! some people should definitely take notes from you fufufu~
♥ This really made me smile ♥ Thank you!!!!
Have to say though, most people tell me I look like a b*tch.. before they talk to me.. that I seem cold and intimidating. It’s nice to hear someone say otherwise!
Also I don’t consider myself to be part of that fashion figure stuff ^^; I have friends who are though, and you know, it’s true a lot of them can be a little.. difficult to approach.. doesn’t mean they are bad people though!!
It’s just that.. you know.. a lot of people asking a lot of questions all the time, the same questions.. they have life away from internet as well, work and personal issues…
They get bad moods and stressed like everyone else.. it’s hard to answer stuff online when all you want to do is eat a bucket of ice cream while sitting in the bathtub. …Or maybe that’s just how I deal with things….hm..
Anyway thank you again ♥ ^ω^
Q:What do you do for a living?? Do you have a job? I think I remember reading somewhere that you live with family... Are you a NEET? It seems like you have a lot of free time and freedom in a place that's conservative... It baffles me.
Though I’ve answered questions about that before I’ll explain again. Not your fault, I should probably do an FAQ section.. Anyway I’m not a NEET. I did move back in with family, am however moving out again sometime later this year. I work for an entertainment company as an extra for live TV shows, music videos, dramas, events etc. Occasional modelling. Though I will be starting a new part time job that I’m in love with soon. Still, I’d rather not disclose any details until after I start officially.
I don’t have nearly as much time as it may seem.. not that I really see what may have given you that idea in the first place. Everybody is busy.. but they make time to go out to special events etc with friends because it’s one of the few chances we get to unwind completely and actually see everyone. Work and conflicted schedules tend to make normal hanging out very difficult. As for the freedom part… Looking the way I do makes life hard no matter what country I’m in. But that’s the choice I made.. and to be totally honest with you, though it’s hard in terms of work, in general I prefer living here than overseas looking like this. It’s much safer, I get less or..actually no aggressive responses, grandmas with purple hair (that is a common thing here) chat with me about my hair colours on the bus while kids pull on my sleeves and ask me if my face hurts.
It might be a conservative country but it’s different from what you’d expect, There is also a lot of boundary respect. And in my subculture niche I am very happy.
Because I haven’t been updating or posting much lately I leave you a collection of pictures taken by me, by friends, of me and friends at recent events. I rhymed…
Q:You haven't post in such a long time! Hope all is good!
I’m so sorry!! It’s just that I haven’t been shooting the last couple of weeks because I’ve been focused on DIY projects. I still post insta selca’s on my personal tumblr etc but I rarely repost them here since they’re just random shots. Sorry for worrying you, thank you for asking though ^_^ I’m doing ok! Keeping nice and warm inside the house while outside is turning into a white wonderland.
